What is The TaijiFit™ Experience?

TaijiFit™ is the most unique workout to come along in decades. It’s a ride along the wave of your Inner Power, like surfing on your own life energy – Qi. It combines the best elements of fitness, meditation and the ancient martial art of Taiji (Tai Chi).
When you take a TaijiFit™ class, you find yourself moving your body with the grace and confidence of the ancient Taiji masters who learned the secret of balancing yin and yang – strength with beauty, power with peace, endurance with flow. There is no routine or choreography to memorize or “get right.” The TaijiFit™ instructor will lead you into Flow using the Qi Cueing method developed by David-Dorian Ross. Attending every class and practicing at home just to “keep up” will not be needed. Come as often as your schedule allows and never get behind.


Exploring the Frontier of How We Teach and Learn Taiji-

David-Dorian Ross is the creator of TaijiFit™: Meditation in Motion and the founder of the TaijiFit™ instructor training program. He is America’s “Chi-vangelist,” whose public appearances introduce people to the benefits, accessibility and sheer joy of learning Taiji (Tai Chi). Inside Kung-fu Magazine called him “the man who brought Tai Chi mainstream.” David-Dorian also holds the record as America’s competitive Tai Chi Champion – winning 8 US Gold Medals, a World Silver medal and 2 World Bronze medals in Tai Chi performance (still the highest record of any American Tai Chi athlete).

About Your Instructor-

Based in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, Dawn Nader is a Certified TaijiFit Instructor  with over 200 hours of training and facilitating TaijiFit. Residing in Clarendon Hills,  Dawn is a proponent of mindful movement for health.  She brings with her a 200 Hour Certification for TaijiFit™, a certification to lead TaijiFit™ for Tivity-Silver Sneakers FLEX & over 10 years experience as a student / instructor of Wushu- specializing in straight sword and Yang Style Tai-Chi.  Dawn’s dedication to Wushu earned her a 5th duan black belt in Wushu. Her personal journey toward wellness & maintaining an active lifestyle through the Chinese Martial Arts provides a unique prospective on movement & it’s role in improving the condition of the human spirit.

Dawn’s love for Tai-Chi began in 2004, as a student at Wushu Central Martial Arts Academy in San Jose, CA. Under the instruction of  Sifu David Chang,  her training as a student and instructor provided incredible opportunities to transform her health and life.  She explains, “For me, Wushu Central was a personal sanctuary to reconnect with myself.  Along the way I found my smile & rediscovered what I CAN DO with perseverance & encouragement from a community rich in love.”

Currently, Dawn is building upon this foundation as she focuses her efforts on Yang Style Tai-Chi w/ David-Dorian Ross as his indoor student.  She is a mentor to participants in the TaijiFit Basic Instructor Certification Program.  And, has served on the leadership team for the David-Dorian Ross Academy.  You can find Dawn in the Western Suburbs of Chicago.  She facilitates Meetups & group fitness classes in TaijiFit™.  Additionally, she provides instruction for the most popular Tai-Chi form in the world- the 24 Movement Simplified Yang Style Form (Beijing Short Form) & it’s companion form-the 32 Movement Simplified Yang Style Sword Form (Beijing Sword Form) .
