Who, What, Why:  TaijiFit is ME time in the middle of WE time!  Unplug the noise.  Connect to now.  Our Meetup group is for active adults who want a gentle way to exercise and experience healthful benefits of consistent Tai Chi & Qigong practice.  Experience the FLOW of continuous movement, like a flowing river.  Enjoy easy to follow, mirror image, side to side movement suitable for small spaces. There is nothing to learn, memorize or “get right”! Easily modified to make Tai Chi and Qigong accessible to all.  Bring the body you have today and play.  Discover how to gently move your body without tension.  Breathe, slow down & let go of tension. It’s about how the movement feels, not how it looks. Find your own ahh— If you are breathing and smiling you know you are doing it “right” for you! Come as often as your schedule allows and never “get behind”.  Play and reconnect with your smile.  Let’s fall in love with the moment.  It’s all about FLOW! The flow of Qi (Energy) inside of us and the flow of Qi (Energy) that connects us.  Release your Qi (Energy) and the rest will follow!

A healthy active lifestyle that includes Tai Chi & Qigong 2 to 3 times per week improves your health & helps you age better. Weekly Tai Chi & Qigong improves pain management, heart health & balance. What to expect:  Top of the Hour- Gather in the main parking lot at the Flagpole. 5mins After the Hour- Begin a gentle walk around the perimeter of the park. 30mins After the Hour- Begin TaijiFit at the fountain in the center of the park.

Meetup Calendar & Cancellations:  Please make sure Dawn has your email address to receive the Meetup calendar and changes due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.  Expect an email for canceled Meetups ONLY – it will be sent out 60Mins before start time.

For the TaijiFit enthusiasts who want even more!  In this weekly Meetup we take the same wonderful moves from TaijiFit and begin to explore the FUN-damentals of Yang Style Tai Chi.  We will expand the side to side flow found in TaijiFit to create flow that travels from one side of the room to the other as we learn the most popular Tai Chi Form in the World-The 24 Movement Simplified Yang Style Form (Beijing Short Form.

Dawn will notify the group of a cancellation (via email) 1hr before our start time. Let’s stay connected and safe during the frequent changes in weather.

Our daytime Meetups will be offered until it becomes too cold or through Nov. 16th. whatever comes 1st.

Our evening Meetups will conclude the week of Wednesday Oct. 31 Halloween with a Glow Flow.  All things Glow Sticks welcomed!

Meetups @ Ty Warner Park will resume the 1st week in March as weather permits.
